Used Winter Sports Equipment Sales

                                         Submitted by: Gordie Peters

There are two used winter sports equipment sales coming up in November. Looking to expand or change out parts of your complement of equipment affordably? Go visit these sales. You may find just what you’re looking for at a bargain basement price. And, both events will accept your own used equipment to sell on consignment.

Burnt Hills United Methodist Church
The 57th Annual Winter Sporting Goods Equipment Sale will be held in Knight Hall of the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Ice skates, sleds, sports clothing, downhill and cross-country ski equipment, ski racks and goggles will be sold. If you would like to consign the equipment, you determine the price for each item and keep 75% of the selling price. Bring in equipment for consignment on November 16 and 17 from 5 to 9 pm only. For more information, contact Greg Adams at 518-399-5875.

Bethlehem High School Sportsmart
Also on Saturday, November 18th, Boy Scout Troop 75 will be holding their 45th annual Sportsmart at the Bethlehem High School Cafeteria, in Delmar, NY (use side entrance on Van Dyke Ave). Items being sold have either been donated to the Troop or are being sold on consignment. Check this out for great deals on new and used skis, snowboards, snowshoes, ice skates, hockey equipment, boots, gloves, bikes, golf clubs, exercise equipment, helmets and more.

  • 8:30am – 11:00am – Drop off items to sell on consignment (you get 2/3s of the selling price)
  • 1:00pm – 4:00pm – General sale
  • 5:00pm – 6:00pm – Consignees return for payment or return of unsold items.

Sportsmart will also hold a silent auction and raffle for a number of great items, including ski passes/packages, and dining and entertainment packages. As a community service organization, Troop 75 will ask everyone who comes to Sportsmart for a minimum $1.00 dollar donation to the Regional Food Bank.
